Abstract:
Bone tumors are unusual cells that form in the bone or its connective tissues, and they include primary and metastatic bone tumors. The treatment methods have gradually become minimally invasive compared to the original open surgery method. Ablation technology is currently one of the leading minimally invasive treatment methods used in treating bone tumors, and this method is safe and effective. Currently, in China, there is no consensus on the thermal ablation of bone tumors to guide the treatment procedure. The Bone Tumor and Bone Metastasis Committee of China Anti-Cancer Association has compiled a "Expert Consensus on Thermal Ablation Therapy for Bone Tumors" that summarizes the principles, indications, contraindications, preoperative evaluation, operational procedures, and complication management of thermal ablation and provides corresponding recommendations, assistance, and guidance for domestic doctors in implementing bone tumor ablation treatment. The expert consensus on thermal ablation therapy for bone tumors offers only academic guidance, and the specific implementation needs to be determined based on clinical conditions.
