Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the value of OPTIMUS system in the diagnosis of breast disease. Methods:OPTI-MUS system was applied to160 breast tumor patients. All patients had received surgical treatment and had a definite path -ological diagnosis. OPTIMUS system was evaluated as a diagnostic tool for breast tumors in this study. Results: There were42cases of patients diagnosed with benign breast disease and 118 cases diagnosed with breast cancer by OPTIMUS system. Pathology confirmed 60cases of benign disease and 100 cases of breast cancer. The false positive rate of breast cancer was30% (18/60). False negative rate of breast cancer was 0 (0/100 ). OPTIMUS system had an accuracy of 88.8%, while ultrasonography and mammography had an accuracy of 87.6% and 87.1%, respectively. The sensitivity of OPTIMUS system, ultrasonography and mammography were 100 .0%,86.8% and 87.1%, respectively, and showed significant differ-ences. Conclusion:OPTIMUS system is a non-invasive and highly effective diagnostic tool for breast disease and it could be used as an assistant diagnostic tool for breast tumor.
