Abstract:
The skull base erosion is frequently seen in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and is believed to be a significant prognostic factor. It is not difficult to diagnose erosion of the skull base in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. However, the mecha-nisms of bone regeneration are complicated. The diagnosis and antidiastole of skull base osteoradionecrosis after radio-therapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma are difficult and the recommended dose boost in skull base after radical radiotherapy is controversial.
