Abstract:
miRNA is a kind of endogenous non-coding short RNA, which regulates many tumor biological behaviors, such as cell multiplication, differentiation, and apoptosis. Studies recently discovered that miRNA takes on the function of oncogene or anti-oncogene and participates on the evolution of many kinds of malignant tumors. Thus, miRNA is significant in the development process of tumors. In addition, miR-21 is valued highly in miRNA. The mechanism of cell proliferation and apoptosis, invasion, and metastasis, as well as the clinical value of digestive system cancers will be reviewed in this paper.
