Abstract:
Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) is one of the common malignant tumors in China, especially in Southern China. Given the specificity and radio-sensitivity of the anatomic site, radiotherapy presently ranks first in the integral treatment of NPC.However, radio-resistance is one of the factors that hamper the treatment of this disease.Exploring the mechanisms of this resistance and determining the various radio-sensitization approaches may help improve the recovery rate of a patient. The prediction of radio-sensitivity before radio-therapy is currently a popular topic in radiobiology. This paper provides a brief review of the advances in molecular biology research on the radio-sensitivity of NPC.
