Abstract:
Laparoscopic gastrectomy has been used to treat gastric cancer for nearly 20 years. The application of this operation has become more widely available. However, a few surgeons have yet to master the surgical technique. Based on related evidence-based medical data, this surgical procedure has achieved the same effect as open surgery through a satisfactory minimally invasive procedure. Laparoscopic surgery has also achieved favorable results in terms of long-term survival. However, more multi-center prospective randomized control studies are still needed to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of laparoscopic surgery for advanced gastric cancers. Only by strictly choosing the right surgical cases and strictly following the principles of radical surgery on malignant tumors can radical laparoscopic gastrectomy achieve the advantages of minimally invasive surgery and the long-term effects of open surgery
