Abstract:
Breast cancer is one of the main diseases that seriously threaten women's health. Breast cancer morbidity in China is increasing. Breast cancer screening has effectively improved the survival rate and decreased the mortality rate in the past few years. The ethnic features and characteristics of breast cancer among the xanthoderm women of China are different from those of white women of Europe and the United States. Thus, these factors can largely contribute to breast cancer screening guidelines in Asian countries. This study reviews the clinical utility history of available screening modalities and other pertinent issues in Singapore, Japan, Korea, India, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other Asian countries and regions. The application effect of different screening techniques in the said countries and regions is also analyzed to explore breast-screening approaches, including frequency and age range. This review also at -tempts to provide evidence for developing a breast cancer screening strategy for Chinese women.
