Abstract: Upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) is a rare tumor of the urinary system.Surgery is the main treatment modality for UTUC, and radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) is the gold standard for treatment.In recent years, lymph node metastasis has gained increasing attention from urologists as an independent prognostic factor.However, controversies remain about the therapeutic value and standardized implementation of lymph node dissection (LND) in patients with UTUC.This article reviews the research progress on the value of LND in the treatment of UTUC patients.
