Abstract:
Objective : To investigate the clinical situations, pathological characteristics andprognostic factors of primary adult renal sarcoma.
Meth-ods : 752 cuses of adult renal tumors weretreated in our hospital from 1970 to 2000,11 cuses of primary renal sarcoma in all of the tu-mars were analysesed retrospectively.
Results : The first symptom of 8 cuses in all renal sarcomaswere mass and thinness. The pos-operational pathologic diagnoses were malignant fibrous histocy-tomes (5 cases), leiomyosarcoma (3 cases), liposarcoma(2 cases), and low-lifferentiated sarcoma (1 case) respectively. The average survival duration of the no-tumor-remained group was 5.8 years, and the tumor-remained group was 10.6 months. The average survival duration of malignant fi-brows histiocytom was months, leiomyosarcoma was 3.5 years, and liposarcoma was 10.2 years, re-spectively.
Conclusion : Mass and thinness are the most common clinical symptom of renal sarco-mess. The pathologic type and no pos-operational remained tumor are the major prognostic factors.
