Abstract:
Objective :To explore the expression of HPA mRNA and Ki67 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and to explore the correlation between the expression of HPA, the cell proliferation and the clinical pathological features of HCC.
Methods : The expression of HPA mRNA was detected by the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in primary tumor tissues and paracancer tissues, and the expression of ki67 was delected by immunohistochemical method in the primary tumor tissue.
Results : The expression of HPA mRNA in HCC was significantly higher than that in paracancer tissues. The HPA expression was assosiated with the envelope invasion, invasive hepatic portal vein, TNM stages, rates of recurrence and life without tumor. The index of Ki67 expression in high HPA expression group was much higher than in low expression group.
Conclusion : The expression of HPA mRNA in HCC is significant and is related to the invasion, metastasis, recurrence, prognosis and the cell proliferation of HCC.
