Abstract: Controversy surrounds the value of cytoreductive surgery for advanced and relapsed endometrial carcinoma. Recent documents have shown that optimal cytoreductive surgery and different adjuvant treatment, including chemotherapy, and radiotherapy benefit these patients significiently. Five facets will be discussed in this review: 1) clinical value of cytoreductive surgery; 2) lymphadenectomy;3) postoperative complications; 4) adjuvant treatment; 5) survival benefits.
