Abstract:
Objective : To determine the serum and nipple discharge CA153 level in patients with breast disease and to elucidate their significance of the diagnosis.
Methods : CA153 level was measured by Elecsys in 150 breast disease patients and 40 healthy individuals.
Results : The nipple discharge and the serum CA153 level were singnificantly higher than those of health subjects (P<0.05;P<0.01).The CA153 level of the nipple discharge in breast cancer were singnificantly higher than those of serum subjects (P<0.01).
Conclusion : The determination of CA153 level in nipple discharge plays an important role in diagnosis of the breast cancer.
