Abstract: Objective :To study the expression of CT120 gene in gliomas. Methods :The expres-sion of CT120 protein was detected in 3 normal brain tissues and 50 cases of gliomas using immuno-histochemical method. The expression of CT120 mRNA was detected in 3 normal brain tissues and 20cases of gliomas using RT- PCR semi-quantity method. Results :The expression rate of CT120 proteinin cases with normal brain tissues and with gliomas was 0%and 50.9%,respectively. The differencewasn't statistically significanto=2.99, P>0.05). The high expression rate of CT120 protein did notcorrelate with the pathological grade of gliomas. The expression rate of CT120 mRNA in the three nor-mal brain tissues was low. There was no statistically significant difference among the expression ofgliomas with different grades. The high expression rate of CT120 mRNA did not correlate with thepathological grade of gliomaso=3.25, P>0.05). Conclusions :There is the expression of CT120 gene ingliomas, but it doesn't play an important role.
