Abstract: Objective : To analyze the curative effect and the side effect of the Ⅲ_b uterocervical cancer with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Methods : Fifty-nine cases with Ⅲ_b uterocervical cancer were randomly divided into two groups, the group one with radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and the group two with radiotherapy simplicity. The twogroups have the same radiotherapy. At the same time,give chemotherapy to the group one, adopting the PYB project. Results : Recent efficient rate in group one was 100N and 92.3% in group two, but there is no significant difference between group one and group two (P>0.05). Survival rate within 5 years was 69.7% in group one and was 42.3% in group two, there is significant difference between the group one and the group two (P<0.05). nausea, vomit and decreased leukocyte is significant higher in group one than in group two (P<0.01, P <0.05). There is no significant difference in group one and group two in radioactive rectitis and cystitis (P>0.05). Distant metastasis rate in group group two is significant higher than in group one. Conclusions : Radiotherapy and chemotherapy given at the same time can increase the local control rate, survival rate within 5 years and decrease the distant metastasis rate with increasing side effect.
