Abstract:
Objective: To discuss the local control rate, short-term curative effect and toxic reaction of NSCLC using the 7-day-a-week continuous accelerated irradiation (CAIR). Methods: Forty cases with local advanced stage (IIIa and b) NSCLC received CAIR and CF respectively. Results: There was neither overt difference in the side effect and toxicity, P=0.065, and was nor significance in short-term curative effect between the two arms P>0.05. Conclusion: The side effect and toxicity of the 7-day continuous accelerated irradiation on non-small cell lung cancer are endurable, and the curative effect needs further observation.
