Abstract: The malignant pleural effusions(MPE)is a common complication in advanced malignancies.The main purpose of MPE therapy lies in effective control of pleural effusions,ease of dyspnea,enhancement of the quality of life and extension of survival time.The article sums up recent comprehensive treatment status and research development of the multidisciplinary modes of MPE,esp.the hot spot such as biotherapy,etc.and summarizes the new drugs and novel means occurred in recent years.
