Abstract:
With application of the methods of combined treatment such as radiochemotherapy, etc., the local control survival rates of limited- stage small cell lung cancer has been increased, but brain metastasis becomes an important factor affecting the quality of life of those with a possibility of long-term survival. In this study, the feasibility, results and possible post-radiotherapy toxicity of application of the prophylactic cranial irradiation in the patients of limited-stage small-cell lung cancer with complete remission after inducing chemotherapy, and the start time, mode of fractionated radiotherapy and dose of radiation therapy were summarized.
