The Evaluation of Curative Effect for External Beam Irradiation and Brachytherapy of Tongue Cancer

  • 摘要: 目的:评价外照射联合组织间插植对舌癌的治疗效果。方法:1991年至2000年本科收治的外照射联合组织间插植治疗的舌癌患者25例,分析其治疗效果及副作用。结果:局部控制率达84%,3年总生存率为72%,疾病特异性生存率达76%,3例患者出现不同程度的晚期并发症,1例患者出现远处转移。结论:外照射联合组织间插植是治疗舌癌的有效方法。

     

    Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the curative effect of external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) and brachytherapy (BT) on tongue carcinoma. Methods: Since 1991 to 2000, 25 patients with tongue cancer received EBRT and BT. The curative and side effect were analyzed retrospectively. Results: The local control rate was 76%. The 3-year overall survival (OS) and disease-specific survival (DSS) rate was 72% and 76%, respectively. The metastasis occurred in one patient. Three patients (12%) developed different complications. Conclusions: The external irradiation in combination with interstitial interposition is an effective method for the treatment of tongue cancer.
