Abstract: Objective: To boost the level of recognition of the clinical and pathological features and of diagnosis and treatment of the adult adrenal neuroblastoma (ANB). Methods: A 56-year-old patient with adult adrenal neuroblastoma, complaining of hypertension and right lumbar pain for 5 years, was reported. Results: At first a laparoscopic resection of the tumor was performed unsuccessfully. Then the patient underwent open radical adrenalectomy instantly and the tumor was dissected successfully. A diagnosis of neuroblastoma was Histopathologically confirmed. After surgery the patient received adjuvant chemotherapy for 20 weeks. Conclusions: Adrenal NB is a rare malignancy with bad prognosis. Currently there is no standard treatment guidelines for patients with adrenal NB in adulthood. Collection and evaluation of data in adult patients with the tumor are needed to optimize treatment strategies.
