Abstract:
To study the correlation between expression of the MRP8 protein and the differentiation and metastasis of lung cancer. Methods: IHC and Western blotting were used to observe the expression of MRP8 protein in lung cancer and matched paraneoplastic tissues, with results compared to the clinical data to determine significance. Results: In 45 of the 82 (54.9%) paraffinembedded lung cancer tissues, there was positive expression of the MRP8 protein, and the rate of positive expression related to cellular differentiation, lymph node metastasis and clinical stage. No positive expression was found in normal bronchial epithelial cells of the matched paraneoplastic tissues. Moreover, Western blotting analysis showed that there was high expression of MRP8 in 65.5% (19/29)of the lung cancer tissues. Conclusion: There is a close relationship between the MRP8 protein and progression of lung cancer.
