Abstract:
Objective: To analyze the expression of endostatin and its relationship with clinical pathology characteristics in cardia gland cancer. Method: We analyzed the endostatin expression levelsin tissues from 62 cardia disease patients by applying immunohistochemical staining (SP method). Re-sult: The expression of endostatin in cardia gland cancer was closely related to the degree of invasionof the primary tumor, clinical TNM grade and cellular differentiation of cardia gland cancer (P<0.05),but not to metastatic spread to local lymph nodes (P>0.05). The mutivariable analysis showed that the expression of endostatin is negatively correlated with the degree of invasion of the primary tumor andthe clinical TNM grade (P<0.05), and it is positively correlated with cellular differentiation (P<0.05).Conclusion: The expression level of endostatin is related to the clinical TNM grade, the degree of in-vasion of the primary tumor and cellular differentiation in the tumor, but not to metastatic spread to lo-cal lymph nodes.
