Correlation between BSP, TRACP5b and Postoperative Bone metastasis of Breast Cancer

  • 摘要: 目的:回顾性研究BSP蛋白在原发性乳腺癌组织中的表达及乳腺癌患者术后血清TRACP5b水平,探讨二者与骨转移的关系,旨在探究早期预测乳腺癌术后骨转移的方法。方法:应用免疫组织化学S-P方法及酶联免疫吸附法(ELISA)测定35例原发性乳腺癌石蜡标本中BSP蛋白表达情况及患者术后血清TRACP5b水平。结果:应用Spearman等级相关分析显示,BSP蛋白表达与骨转移成正相关,相关系数r=0.439(P<0.01),而血清TRACP5b水平与骨转移尚不存在相关关系(P>0.05)。结论:预测乳腺癌术后骨转移的方法不仅停留于传统的外周血检测,还可以早期进行组织水平的检测,同时可以进行两个水平的相关性研究。

     

    Abstract: Objective: To explore early prediction of breast cancer metastasis to bone after surgery by studying the expression of BSP in primary tissues and levels of TRACP5b in the serum of patients who developed bone metastasis in the course of their disease after surgery. Methods: Immunohisto-chemistry method (S-P) was used to assess BSP expression in tissue samples from 35 cases of primary breast cancer. The levels of TRACP5b in serum samples from 35 patients with breast cancer with and without bone metastasis after surgery were measured using an ELISA. Results: Using Spearman corre-lation we found the expression of BSP was positively correlated with bone metastasis and the correlation coefficient was 0.439 (P<0.01), but we did not discover any correlation between serum levels of TRACP5b and bone metastasis (P>0.05). Conclusion: Early prediction of breast cancer metastasis to bone can be done using the traditional method of detecting serum TRACP5b levels, but it can be signif-icantly improved by examining BSP expression in the primary breast cancer tissues themselves in con-junction with serum TRACP5b detection.
