Abstract:
The application of music therapy in cancer treatment has received increasing attention in the last five years. Several studies have demonstrated its effectiveness in improving the quality of life, promoting physical and psychological rehabilitation, reducing adverse effects caused by anti-tumor therapies, and enhancing treatment efficacy. The underlying mechanisms have also been extensively explored within the fields of psychological and neuroinflammatory/immunoregulatory research. However, significant gaps remain between theoretical research and clinical practice, particularly regarding assessment methods and practical implementation. Therefore, this consensus brings together experts from multiple interdisciplinary teams to provide recommendations on various aspects, including definitions, treatment principles, evaluation methods, practical guidelines, and assessment tools, aiming to standardize the clinical application of music therapy.
