Progress on the relationship between Foxp3 and malignant tumor treatment

  • 摘要: 叉头型转录因子3(forkhead box protein 3,Foxp3)被认为是来源于胸腺以及外周的调节性T细胞的标志性分子。Foxp3虽然在除胸腺和脾以外的组织中有较少程度的表达,最新发现Foxp3可以表达于多种肿瘤细胞,并且与恶性肿瘤的发生、发展以及预后具有一定的关系。Foxp3已经成为近来恶性肿瘤治疗研究的热点之一,以期能够为恶性肿瘤的治疗带来新的契机。

     

    Abstract: The expression of transcription factor forkhead box protein 3 (Foxp3) is predominantly restricted to the CD25+ CD4+ population in both the thymus and periphery. Limited evidence indicated that Foxp3 is also expressed, albeit to a lesser extent, in the tissues outside of the thymus and spleen. However, recent studies showed that Foxp3 is expressed in many tumor cells, and has a definite relation with the occurrence, progress, and prognosis of malignant tumors. Foxp3 has become a popular topic in research on malignant tumor treatment, thereby bringing a new turning point for malignant tumor therapy
