Abstract:
Objective :To study the relationship between expression of VEGF,flk-1,flt-1protein and clinicopathology in hepatocellular carcinoma.
Meth-ods : The expression of VEGF,flk-1、flt-1 protein in 60 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma were detected by immunohistochemistry(ABC method) and the relationship between expression of VEGF protein and its clinicopathology was evaluated.
Results : The positive rates of VEGF,fIk-l,flt-1 protein were 81.3%,88.3%、80.0%in tumor tissues, respectively, and they were significantly higher than that in normal liver tissue(P<0.05).The expression of VEGF protein was correlated with the histologic grade, metastasis oftumor.
Conclusion : The results showed that the higher expression of VEGF protein was associated with the higher malignant degree and more chances of metastasis in hepatocellular carcinoma.VEGF,flk-l,flt-1 play an important role in tumourgenesis.
