Abstract:
Objective :To explore the expression and the relationship of VEGF, COX-2 and iNOS protein in gastric cancer and atypical hyperplasia.
Methods :The expression of VEGF, COX-2 and iNOS were determined with Power vision'" immunohistochemical analysis in 84 gastric cancers and 54 gastric atypical hyperplasia.
Results : Positive rate of COX -2 (66.67%),iNOS (77.38%),VEGF (61.90%) in gastric cancer were significantly higher than those in gastric atypical hyperplasia (P<0.05). Overexpression of COX-2,iNOS and VEGF in gastric cancer was related to lymph node metastasis and tumor size (P<0.05). There was positive correlation between the expression of VEGF, COX-2 and iNOS. And the expression of COX-2 and VEGF was positive related to the invasion of gastric cancer .
Conclusions :The expression of COX-2, iNOS, VEGF may play an important role in the occurrence and progress of gastric cancer.
