Abstract:
As a powerful means to avoiding recurrence and metastases, adjuvant chemotherapy on postoperative colorectal carcinoma (CRC) has nowshown an increasingly important role in clinical treatment. In our study, the course of the development of adjuvant chemotherapy for colorectal carcinoma over the past 30 years has been retrospectively reviewed. An increasingly important role of some highperformance chemotherapeutic drugs, such as oxaliplatin, irinotican and capecitabine, are described with an emphasis on several large-scale clinical research studies.
