Abstract: With extensive development of CO₂ laser surgery for tumors of the larynx, surgical complications have significantly increased. These complications can be caused by laser irradiation of uninvolved larynx tissue and may also be caused by excessive surgical removal of tissue. The incidence rate of complications relates to the position and size of the tumors, as well as with the experience of the surgeons and anesthesiologists.
