Abstract: There is a high morbidity of esophageal cancer in China. Surgery, chemotherapy, andradiotherapy are the primary methods of treatment. However, for patients with metastatic or recurrentesophageal cancer, standard treatment cannot control the disease progression. With the development ofnew drugs and the emergence of new therapies, there has been some improvement in the effects oftreatment for recurrent or metastatic esophageal cancer.
