Abstract:
Gastrointestinal tumors are a serious and threatening public health concern. Endoscopic minimally invasive treatment is an important way to achieve early diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal tumors. Here, we summarize the history and current status of endoscopic minimally invasive resection of early-stage gastrointestinal tumors, and explain the application of the new ERBEC concepts of endoscopic minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of gastrointestinal tumors, which include elements, reservation-resection, bilateral-benefit, expansion, and collaboration. We also discuss the future direction of endoscopic minimally invasive resection for gastrointestinal tumors.
