Abstract:
Objective : To evaluate the applicable value of Feridex-enhanced MRI in the diagnosisof focal hepatic lesions.
Methods : Feridex-enhanced MRI was performed in 34 patients with suspectedfocal hepatic lesions, in which conventional CT or MR had difficulties in diagnosing. Study the changesin signal intensity of the lesions before and after Feridex enhancement on T
1WI and T
2WI images withquantitative method. Analyse the significance of the changes with paired-cst.
Results : After the in-jection of Feridex, the signal intensity of hepatic parenchyma reduced significantly on T
2WI, while thechanges of the signal intensity of benign and malignant lesions were different. On enhanced T
2WI, morelesions were detected and the lesions displayed more clearly.
Conclusion : Feridex-enhanced MRI canimprove the detection of focal hepatic lesions and is very helpful in differential diagnosis.
